Waterloo House has recently been inspected and awarded the highest, five star rating, for self catering accommodation by Visit Britain, Quality in Tourism.

Waterloo House is a large 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom property providing exceptionally comfortable accommodation for 8 people. The house has been recently refurbished with very high quality furnishings throughout including oak bedroom furniture and new sofa’s, chairs and tables. Three of the four bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and there is a further large family bathroom off the main landing.

The accommodation is set over two floors with the top floor providing a sizable open plan kitchen, lounge and dinning room. This floor boasts an extended balcony for outside dinning and a perfect place to relax. The views across the water and countryside are outstanding.

Every single detail has been considered and the property is fully equipped and furnished to an extremely high standard.

The first floor accommodation is reached from a light airy landing, which overlooks Harbours Edge Courtyard and the river. This is a perfect place to sit and relax.

The master bedroom is very large and comfortable with a king size solid oak bed, bedside tables, large fitted wardrobe, sofa, chest of drawers and a flat screen television and hi fi system. The master bedroom enjoys a large ensuite bathroom.

The second bedroom is also large with double aspect windows providing wonderful light. There is a king size solid oak bed, bedside tables, large oak wardrobe, chest of drawers and a flat screen television. The bathroom is ensuite with a bath.

The twin bed bedroom has two full size 3ft single beds and an oak tallboy.

The family bathroom is adjacent the main landing area and has a bath and electric shower.

The fourth bedroom is a few steps down off the main landing and overlooks the neighbouring courtyard. There’s a solid oak double bed, bedside tables and a chest of drawers. This bedroom also has its own ensuite bathroom.

Stairs lead up from the first floor landing into an open plan living area which is bathed in light from various windows and the floor to ceiling patio doors. The views from this area are breathtaking.

There is a fully fitted kitchen with double oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen is fully equipped with top of the range equipment. There’s also an island unit in the kitchen providing breakfast bar seating for two.

The central part of the room is the main living area with sofa and various chairs. There’s a flat screen television, DVD player and hi fi system as well as assorted books and games. The main living area looks out onto the balcony with views of the river, Pont Pill and hills in the distance.

At the far end of the room there is a solid oak extending dinning table with seating for 8 people.

This is an exceptionally sociable living space and is enhanced further by a large extended decked balcony, which is nearly the length of the entire property. It provides panoramic views of Fowey River, the surrounding countryside and parts of Fowey itself including St Fimbarrus Church in one direction and Daphne du Maurier’s house at Boddinick in the other.

The balcony is a wonderful space to enjoy and relax. There’s also a gas barbeque and teak dining table and chairs.

Lobby entrance: This area has a washer/dryer together with storage space for coats, hats and boots.
